Katherine Rose Tignor

Katherine Rose (Lambert) Tignor went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.
Kathy was born on March 19, 1949, in Wise County, VA, to Hubert Otis Lambert and Thelma Jeanette (Brickey) Lambert.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children (Rev Douglas MacArthur Tignor), a brother (Hubert Otis Lambert Jr.), parents, and both sets of grandparents (Lamberts and Brickeys).
Left to grieve her loss and celebrate her life is her faithful companion Rufus Barnette and her 4 children - Doug and Stephanie Tignor, Fort Blackmore, VA; Scott Tignor, Duffield, VA; Tina Quillen, Churchhill, TN; and Jason Tignor, Duffield, VA. Also, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Kathy leaves behind 6 of her 7 siblings: Sue Caine, WV; Ann Lane, TN; J.D. Lambert, IN; Patricia Campbell, IN; Donna Grisham, TN; and Sherry Gibbons, CO.
Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 pm on 11/19/22 at Purchase Ridge Community Church with Bill Tignor officiating. The interment will be at The Benton Cemetery afterward.
In lieu of flowers, can donate to the American Cancer Society, church, or any charity of choice.
