On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, Kaleb Drake McMurray (Marley), 17, was called home by the Lord. Kaleb loved life and was very adventurous. He was always smiling and his smile could light up any room he was in. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend. He was very strong willed and had a heart of gold. Kaleb was so funny he could have grown up to be a comedian. All he wanted to do was bring joy to others. He never met a stranger. Kaleb loved to rap and could drop a line to any beat. He was a part of ROTC at Sullivan North High School. Kaleb was so loved and touched many lives within his 17 years. He is preceded in death by his papaw, Donald Dingus; and his grandmother Brenda McMurray. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Ruby McMurray and wife Collena Grigsby; father Stephen McMurray and wife Michelle; his sister Kyndra Marley; his nephew, Bradien Marley; niece, Alicya Marley; his grandparents, Sharon and Willie Goss; aunt Sarah Qualls and Husband Ronnie; uncles John Qualls (Johnny Bravo) and Martin Jennings and wife Barbara; aunts, Leslie Hensley and husband Justin, Lisa Bishop and husband Steven, and Jo Rita McMurray; cousins Ashton and Santanna Bishop and Neyland Hensley; and a host of cousins and other family members who loved him very much. There will be a visitation for the public held on Monday, December 14th, 2020 from 1pm-2pm at Trinity Memorial Centers. The family would like to send a special thank you to Bud Adkins (Uncle Bud) for the wonderful care he provided along with his other home health care nurses, as well as the nurses at Holston Valley. Also a special thank you to Tacala, Melanie, Dena, and Bov-o. “God looked around His Garden, and He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this Earth, and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on Earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered “peace be thine.” It broke our hearts to lose you but you didnt go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home..” Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
