Junieta Renee Derrick

Junieta (NeNe) Renee Derrick, 52 , went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2016. A sweeter soul you could never meet. Junieta loved her animals and had an infectious laugh. She was a pillar in the church and loved her church family. She was saved at an early age and is now resting in the arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Irene Vermillion; parents, Stacy Lawrence and Janie Lee Davis; and half brothers, Billy Frye and Tommy Frye. She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Derrick; sisters, Susan Davis, Trish and husband, Mike Compton and Connie (John) Davis; nephews, Brent and Brian Compton; her special children, Sydney Compton, Ethan Compton, Brendan Compton, and Katrina Compton; brother in law, Ronald and wife, Sharon Derrick; and special friend and caregiver, Misti Vermillion. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Gospel Fellowship Church (722 Virgil Lane, Kingsport, TN) with Pastor Melburn Farmer officiating.
