Judy Kreger

July 11, 1948 - October 9, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our beloved mother, Judy Kreger, passing away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the age of 76. Judy fought bravely through her battle with leukemia, displaying unwavering faith, strength, resilience, and humor that inspired everyone around her. She never gave up, praising God daily and expressing gratitude for His love and strength during her illness. Her greatest concern was always for her children, family, friends, and care team-never for herself.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, TN, a graduate of Ketron High School, and a true servant to her community. As a founding member of Shades of Grace, she continued to serve the Lord with great devotion until her health prevented her regular participation. She was an advocate for those in need, especially the young women at Hay House, offering them hope and encouragement.

She worked for over 15 years at CitiGroup where she made many lifelong friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Worley and Erma Lee Haynes McCurry Million; her sisters, Vivian Dykes and Katherine McMurray; and her brother, Robert McCurry.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Jeff Taylor and wife Angee; loving daughter, Angie Clowers; grandchildren, Tori Arapakos and husband Mark, Emma Lee, Regann Bell, Branden Bilek; great grandchildren, Liam and Georgia Steen; her brother, Rick Million and wife Angie; her sisters, Janice Baxter, Linda Barnette and husband Jim, and Carol Million Murray; and special friends, Patricia Lefler and Karen Poirier; her devoted pet, Lady.

If you knew Judy, you loved her, and she loved you-it was as simple as that. Her legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her life was a living example of grace and kindness, always serving with a heart full of love for those in need. She touched everyone she met with her compassion and left this world a brighter place through her selfless spirit. Judy's greatest joy was in loving and caring for others, and her legacy of faith and generosity will live on in the countless lives she impacted.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Memorial on Tuesday, October 15th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral will follow with Pastor Will Shewey of Shades of Grace UMC officiating, Tori Arapakos giving the Eulogy, and special music by Rob Barrett and Misty Venett.

Graveside service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Garden on Wednesday, October 16th, at 10:00 am in the Garden of David.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hunger First, 1697 Lynn Garden Dr, Kingsport, TN.

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Holston Valley Medical Center for the compassionate care provided to our loved one. We also extend a special thanks to the nursing team at Ballad Health Cancer Center, where, over the course of three years, she developed close bonds with the staff who cared for her with kindness and love. Our appreciation for their tender care will never fade. A very special thank you as well to her cancer doctors, Dr. Ashwin Kishtagari at Vanderbilt and Dr. Yonette Paul at Ballad Health, for their exceptional dedication.
