Johnny James Watkins

Johnny James Watkins, 59, of Blountville, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 14th, 2018. Johnny was born in Bristol, TN and lived in Hickory Tree area for all his life. He was a very dependable person who provided for his family. He met his soulmate, Roxie, in 1992. He loved his children and his grandkids, they were his life. When he got cancer he fought it hard for almost 2 years and never gave up. Johnny loved life and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother; and grandson. He is survived by his wife, Roxie Watkins; children, Johnny Brown Watkins, Robert James Watkins and wife Amanda, Braxton White, Secret White, Matthew Watkins, and Maddie Watkins; grandchildren, Eric JB Watkins, Dallas Watkins, and Isiah White; several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday July 18th from 6pm to 8pm at First Church of God (301 Georgia Avenue, Bristol, TN). Life Celebration service will follow at 8pm with Pastor Dwight Marlow officiating. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the family.
