John Warren Herbert

John Warren Herbert, 72, of Kingsport, TN, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. John loved fishing, hunting and was known as a "Mr. Fix It". John never met anyone that he couldn't consider a friend and had a love of life. John found himself surrounded by those that loved him and his family knew how much he loved them. John was not someone who became bored easily through his love of nature, his constant tinkering, visiting his family back home in Maryland, or just sitting on the back porch reflecting with a cigarette in hand. When he wasn't busy, he liked to make the strongest coffee he could and share it with his wife, Sharon Herbert, just enjoying each others company. John left an impact on everyone in his life and will always be fondly remembered by his family. We love you "Herbie". You will be truly missed and always in our hearts. John is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon Herbert; sons, Johnny Ray Herbert, Samuel Christian and wife Sarah, and Douglas W. Herbert and wife Christy; six brothers and sisters; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. The service is to follow at 2:00 PM with military honors by American Legion Post 3/265 Honor Guard The family wish to thank Amedisys Hospice care for all of their support.
