John Paul Nelson went to be with the Lord at his home on Friday, March 1st, 2019. He was born in Bristol, Tennessee on September 15th, 1970. John was an avid fisherman and loving family man, who loved spending time outdoors. He was a lifelong resident of Bristol, Tennessee, and working man for TICO as a foundry worker for 16 years. A father and loving husband of 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn and Charles Pickel, Cora and James Nelson: parents, J.D. and Shirley Nelson: and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Nelson: children, Bridgett Nelson, Courtney Nelson and husband Dylan Fisk, and Logan Nelson: grandchildren, Tristan Dew, Raymond Rowland, Kierston and Kaylee Fisk: brother, Jim Nelson and wife Stephanie: his beloved Chiweenie, Lil Bit: multiple cousins and family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held 4pm to 6pm Wednesday, March 6th, at Trinity Memorial with a service following after.
