Joanne P. Staehler, 90, of Kingsport, Tennessee went home to Jesus on Friday, January 28, 2022. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on January 18th, 1932. She graduated from Mercy High School, an all girls school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was in Milwaukee she met the love of her life Richard Staehler Sr. and they were married in 1952. Together they had three children, Mark, Cathie and Richard Jr. They moved to Rockford, Illinois shortly after where she worked office jobs until they moved to Florida. It was there that her husband preceded her in his death in 1986. Known to many as “Mommajo”, she enjoyed dancing, shopping, watching birds and taking rides in the mountains. On January 18, 2022 she celebrated her 90th birthday along with her grandson Daniels 30th birthday. He flew home from Japan for the event and her other grandson Richard and his family came from Illinois. She was so proud of everyone in her family and never missed a chance to tell them. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Per her wishes she will be cremated and there will be a private family celebration of her life in the near future She is survived by her children, Mark (Denise) Staehler-Florida, Cathie (Dennis) Sneath-Illinois and Richard Jr. (Eleanor) Staehler-Tennessee; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four grand puppies, three great grand puppies and one great grand kitty. She always loved her four-legged fur babies which is a passion she passed on to her children. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to serve the Staehler family.
