Joan Henderson Lodge

Joan H. Lodge, age 82, of Kingsport, TN, sadly passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Born Joan Henderson on March 16, 1942, she grew up in Maywood, NJ, with her parents, Guy and Ada Henderson, along with her brother, Richard.

On July 13, 1963, Joan married Dennis Lodge (1942-2003) from Bethel Park, PA. Together, they created a loving home while raising their family in Caldwell, NJ, before eventually moving to Vernon, NJ.

Joan leaves a legacy of love and warmth, fondly remembered by her children: Kathleen Moody of Franklinton, NC; Scott Lodge of Livingston, NJ; and Deborah Harpster of Kingsport, TN. Her memory will also be cherished by her eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Joan's life at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 161 E Ravine Rd, Kingsport, TN, on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 2:30 PM. A memorial service will also take place at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E Mt Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and the service commencing at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in Joan's memory to Episcopal Relief and Development (episcopalrelief.org).
