Jimmy Vicars

Jimmy Vicars, 82, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by his family on Monday, April 20, 2020. He was born on October 20,1937. He was in the Naval Air Reserves for 10 years and a member of the Scottish Rite since 1971. He became a 33rd degree Mason in 2001. He was a member of the Jericho Shrine Temple since 1976 and was a Jericho Shrine Director for 13 years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Kingsport Commandery No. 33 Knights Templar and president of SDA 2008-2009 (Shrine Directors Association). He was also Director Emeritus. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Delores; two daughters, Carol and husband, John, and Sandy and husband, Randy; four grandchildren, Blake, Kassie and husband, Jeremy, Brooke and husband, David, and Brad and wife, Brandi; four great grandchildren, Mackenlie, Anneliese, Reagan and Teagan; and siblings, Ronnie, David, Gary, Connie, Brenda and Betty. A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Mauk and Pastor Tim Hodges officiating. The visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. The family would like to say a special thank you to Kristy with Advance Home Health and Jims hospice team at Amedisys.
