With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Jeremy Douglas Stacy, 42, of Bristol, TN, who departed from this world on Friday, April 5th, 2024. Born in Texas, Jeremy made his mark on the hearts of many after relocating to this area in 2012, where he discovered the love of his life and chose to plant his roots.
Jeremy's life was full of passion and wonder. He found his greatest masterpiece in his beloved son, Jonah, whom he adored beyond measure. Jeremy's athletic prowess was evident to all who knew him, his agility and skill making him a formidable competitor in softball and basketball alike. Yet, it wasn't just his athleticism that left an impression; his quick wit and infectious humor ensured that he never encountered a stranger, effortlessly lighting up any room he entered.
Affectionately known as "the entertainer" by his ex-wife, Jeremy possessed a tender heart that he wore proudly on his sleeve. He was a natural comforter, always ready to lend an ear and offer sage advice to those in need. As a coach, his talents shone brightly, he was proud to coach his niece's softball skills, leaving an indelible mark on her and countless others he mentored.
Jeremy leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his cherished son, J.J., and J.J.'s mother, Jessica Stacy; his loving parents, Jerry and Leohna Stacy; his dear sister, Emily Eenigenburg, and her husband Stephen, along with their two adoring nieces. Additionally, he is mourned by his devoted girlfriend, Allison, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeremy's life will be held at Trinity Memorial on Tuesday, April 9th, at 6:00 pm, with Pastor Will Shewey of Shades of Grace UMC officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity close to Jeremy's heart, in honor of his generous spirit and unwavering compassion. Though Jeremy may have left this world too soon, his memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, his spirit forever cherished.
