Jeffrey Myles Woodruff

Jeffrey "Woody" Woodruff 66 of Johnson City, TN passed away on Friday June 7, 2024 from complications related to surgery.

Jeffrey was known to be stubborn and forthright, qualities that made him a proud US Marine Corps veteran. When Jeff was still active he worked hard to stay in shape. His love of football extended past his playing days and found him a strong supporter of the Drake University Bulldogs (his Alma Mater), Alabama Crimson Tide, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother Magdeline (Faison) Coles and grandmother Mary (Faison) Watkins.

He is survived by his son Kerwyn Collier (Natalie), grandsons Elijah and Ethan all of Clayton, NC, siblings Paula Howell (Frank )of Davis City, IA, Johnna C. Smith of Raleigh, NC , and John (DaDee) W. Coles III of Rocky Mount NC, and niece Jane Battle and nephews Paul Battle of Raleigh, NC and Jerry Woodruff of Kansas City, MO.

A burial with Military Honors, provided by American Legion Hammond's Post 3 / Gate City 265, will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Thursday, June 20, at 1:00 pm.
