Mr. Jeffrey Lynn Span was born November 10, 1957 in Welch, WV to the late Ms. Rosa Mary Span and late Mr. Bill Monroe. Mr. Jeffrey Span departed this life on December 28, 2019 at Wexford Nursing Home. Mr. Jeffrey Span was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Tabernacle Holiness Church for over 24 years. Mr. Jeffrey Span graduated from Dunbar High School in Welch, WV and he was also in the United States National Guard for a few years. Mr. Jeffrey Span was also employed at Wexford House. Mr. Jeffrey Span was employed with Turner Paving Company for over 20 years. Mr. Jeffrey Span is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Maxwell-Span; mother, Rosa Mary; his grandmother, Claudia Lee Parr; great-grandmother, Lelar Nelms; grandfather, Eugene Parr; great-grandfather, Willie Nelms; sister, Marylin Harris; two aunts, Eugenia Burroughs and Lula Mitchell; and three uncles, James Floyd, Harry Mitchell, and Frank Burroughs. Mr. Jeffrey Span is survived by his siblings, Mr. William Span from Alexandria, VA, Tracey (John) Slade, Red Springs, NC, Rosetta Span, Raleigh, NC, John Jr, Huntington, WV, James (Christina) Span, Lewiston, ME; aunts, Ms. Corrine Floyd of Charleston, WV and Ms. Fannie Mae Edmonds of Fredericksburg, VA; uncles, Mr. Mark Parr Bluefield, WV and Mr. Jason Parr of Bluefield, VA. Mr. Jeffrey Span leaves a special daughter, Kanisha Bellamy, Kingsport, TN; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, family, friends, and all those who came in contact with him. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2019 from 11:00 AM to noon at Mt. Zion Church (386 Dunbar St, Kingsport, TN 37660). The service is to follow with Dr. Lester L. Turner, Sr. officiating. Graveside service will be held at Depew's Chapel following the funeral. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) is honored to be serving the family.
