Jean Elizabeth Hunt

Jean Elizabeth Hunt, 88, of Mount Carmel, TN, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Jean was born in New York, after marrying her husband she moved to Tennessee in 1994. She worked in many capacities, most recently she earned her CDL in her 40s. She would work as a truck driver after raising her children. Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rogersville, TN. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded by her husband of 50 years, John Hunt; her mother, Catherine Aiken; two grandsons, Kenneth Corkey Jr. and Christopher James Cunningham.

Jean is survived by her children, Sarah Grahn, Carol (Steve Parkinson) Corkey, Daniel (Jill) Hunt, James (Victoria) Hunt, Joseph (Janice) Hunt; her grandchildren, Catherine (Dustin Crawford) Cunningham, Christina Corkey, Elizabeth Corkey, and Joseph (Jenn) Hunt; her eight great-grandchildren.

The family will be celebrating Jean's life on Tuesday 11 am, March 5th, 2024, at Sunrise Baptist Church. (2991 Long Hollow Rd #2701 Kingsport, TN 37660)

The family would like to thank the amazing staff of Gentiva Hospice Care and Church Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation for the love and care they provided Jean during her time with them.
