Janice Jeffers

Janice Marie Rowland-Jeffers, 77, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side.

Janice was born January 28th, 1946 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Carl and Helen Rowland. She strove to go to church every week and loved the Lord. She loved Gospel music and sang in a Gospel Trio named Wilder Trio. Janice worked in the medical field as a transcriptionist, retiring from Holston Valley Medical Center. She loved the beach, and any trip that she got to go on. She loved to travel, her brother finally got her on a plane, and she spoke about it for months. Janice loved Rocky's place on the lake. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Janice cherished her kids and grandkids. She had a strong personality, but never had a bad word to say about anyone. Janice loved her doctor, Jaima, and would check with her before making any decisions at all.

Janice is preceded by her parents, Carl and Helen Rowland; her husband, Rocky Jeffers; and her daughter, Lori Vaughn.

She is survived by her children, Chris Swanner and Crystal, Tina Hall and husband Bo; her grandchildren, Colten and Madelyne, Darren and wife Beth, Samantha, Emily, Brianna Anderson, Isaiah, DJ, Heather, Jessica; several great grandchildren; her siblings, David Rowland and his husband Kostas, Debbie Shephard and husband Bill; her very special friends, Bill Wilder, Layla, Kathy Powers, Austin Simpson, and Donna Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at Gunnings Cemetery Sullivan County TN, on Monday November 20th, 2023 at 3 PM. Pastor Jerry Webb will be officiating. Pall Bearers will be; Bo Hall, DJ Mcclellan, Darren Rice, Isaiah Hall, Austin Simpson, Tyler Carrico.



The family would like to thank Janice's church and church family at Loving Faith Fellowship of Church Hill, Tennessee for the love and support they provided Janice during her lifetime. Janice loved her home church.
