Jana Candice Godsey Sturgill

Jana Candice Godsey Sturgill, 56, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She came from a loving family and family was the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed visiting the Great Smoky Mountains and she loved the outdoors. She had a kind and outgoing personality. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and June Godsey; sister, Janeen D. Godsey Carty; beloved son, Samuel James Sturgill; and first husband, Carl Dougherty. She is survived by her daughter, Carly Dougherty; grandchildren, Michael Sanchez, Megan Dougherty, Serena Tomas-Ramirez and Maxwell Tomas-Ramirez; brother, MSG James H. Godsey Jr (USA-Ret.); and nephews, Colt Carty and Justin Godsey. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 04, 2016 from 7-8pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home.
