James Ray Robinette

James "Jamie" Robinette, Sr., 56, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Born "War Dog," as a Native American member of the Cherokee Indians, Jamie was a native of Kingsport, Tennessee. He married "Little Dove," Angela Presley, and the couple had five children, James, Amber, Jamie Juanita, Dakota, Eveningstar. He was an amazing father to all of his children. Jamie worked as a landscaper, using his talents to bring beauty to the natural world. He was an outdoors man who loved fishing, camping, and attending pow wows. Jamie will be remembered as being a well spoken, humble man.

Jamie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angie Robinette; mother, Beverly Robinette; father, James Edward Robinette.

Jamie will be lovingly remembered by his children, James Ray Robinette, Jr. (Sheena), Amber Smith, Jamie Smith, Dakota Robinette, Eveningstar Robinette; grandchildren, Violent Rayne Robinette, Jax Jay Smith, Lilly Robinette, Leeland Robinette, Alexis Robinette; brother, Tim Robinette; sister, Delilah Holsclaw.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Shades of Grace United Methodist Church, 313 E. Sullivan Street, Kingsport, TN. Pastor Will Shewey will be officiating.
