James "Jim" Randolph Johnson II, 67, of Bluff City, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 11, 2024.
Jim dedicated 18.5 years of his life in service to his country as a proud member of the Air Force. His commitment to duty and honor was evident in every aspect of his life, second only to his love of God and relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He attended the Church of God in Bristol, Tennessee for many years.
Jim was a dedicated family man, and he had an unconditional and loving heart for his family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who loved to tell jokes and inspire laughter in others. Jim was always smiling, no matter how badly he felt. He was kind, giving, and an excellent listener with VERY honest and helpful feedback. Jim loved to cook and enjoyed sharing mealtime with others. He was a good leader in his family and life. Jim was accepting and kind, open and loving to a large and extended family. Jim was loved immeasurably by his family and will truly be missed.
Jim is preceded by his parents, James Randolph Johnson, Sr. and Nancy Doris Jean Slagle; his son, Jeremiah Shaun Johnson; his sister, Debra Johnson; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lora Johnson; his children, Joshua (Jamie) Adam Johnson, James Randolph Johnson III, Patricia (William) Schneider, Justin Weeks, Jason Weeks, Kelly (Austin) Riley, Kari (John) Roberts, and Jonathon Scott; his bonus daughter, Serena (Russell) Burdine; his grandchildren, Joshua (Madison) Dylan Johnson, Jordan (Marleigh) Matthew Johnson, Amiah Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Raven Schneider, Jade Schneider, Alexia Scott, Dillan Scott, Landen Weeks, Cameron Weeks, Broden Hiatt, Gavin Bright, Jaxson Weeks, Aaliyah Weeks, Kyra Babb, Peyton Daniels, Ashlynn Roberts, Connor Daniels, Bryson Roberts, Corbyn Roberts, Kohlson Britt, Jayden Burdine, and Jaxson "Jax" Burdine; his great-grandchildren, Asher Shaun Johnson and Paisley Rose Johnson; his sister, Lorrie Johnson McCluskie; countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and his beloved dog, Gypsy.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers on Thursday, March 21st, from 5 PM until 7 PM, Pastor Dwight Marlow officiating. Jim will be interred with Military Honors at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Friday, March 22nd at 11 AM.
