James Michael Mcdonald

James Michael McDonald, 80, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Michael was born on June 2, 1943, in Decatur, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Wilma McDonald.

Michael worked as a Mechanical Engineer and relished cheering for his alma mater, the University of Alabama. He was always a hard worker and was happiest when working outside landscaping his yard.

Left to cherish his memory are his lovely wife of 45 years, Caroline Greer (Bethany) McDonald, his brother, Larry McDonald (Lynda), his children, Andy McDonald (Angie), Dean McDonald (Julie), Greg Bethany (Charlotte), Pamela McDonald Roland (Shane), and Gina Bethany Montealegre (Miguel), as well as his twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Kingsport First Assembly of God, 221 Brandon Lane, Kingsport, TN. Pastor Pete Miller will be officiating with music provided by Stan and Janet Bradley.
