James Leroy Maynard, age 67, of Greeneville, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Indian Path Medical Center after a long illness while being surrounded by his loved ones. James was born in Seaford, DE and after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army, serving in Vietnam. After leaving the service, he worked with horses, training them for harness racing. He loved going to auctions, raising animals and spending time with his precious grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Madeline Maynard; and sister, Penny Horn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Maynard; son, Todd Reitnauer and wife, Celine; daughter, Jenni Reitnauer and fiance, Rickey Lundy; grandchildren, Michele Adams, Todd Reitnauer Jr., Rye Mason, Kearstin Rainwater, Nevah Lundy and Alyson Lundy; great grandson, Carson Reitnauer; and brother, Robert Maynard.
The family will have a private service.
