James Harry Sloan

James Harry Sloan II, 35, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

James Sloan had a huge heart for his family, caring for his nieces and nephews, and any children that were around him. He loved all animals, but especially his dogs, Bailey and Scar. James loved to go to the lake, loved cooking and caring for his family. He looked for ways to serve others. James Harry Sloan enjoyed being a goofball, and entertaining his loved ones with his groovy dance moves.

Preceded in death by his loving parents, Cephus Sloan and Carol Sloan; his favorite person, Mimz; who was his grandmother who raised him.

Left to Cherish the memories of James are his loving wife, Shyenda Sloan; aunts Lisa Sloan, and Deidre Stuart, and uncle, John Sloan, special cousin, Jennifer Sloan; several nieces and nephews; whose names are Lashayla, EE, Janelle, Sigha, Aysa, Vay'vay, Davarius, and Ke'linn. God Children Landon and Natty-bug; mother-in-law, Paula Long, three sisters-in-laws; and one brother-in-law.

A memorial service in James Harry Sloan II's honor will be held at Borden Park in Kingsport, TN on Monday September 4th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm
