James Gordon Weaver

James Gordon Weaver, 63, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Gordon was born in Somerset, Kentucky, Pulaski County, to James and Heniretta (Henderson) Weaver. He proudly served four years in the US Army in Panama City, Panama. He was married to Donna Thompson and the couple had two children together, making a total of four children between them. Gordon loved all sports, especially Nascar, football, baseball, and basketball. He also loved his dog, Sammy, and his cat, Roscoe. In addition to his parents, Gordon is preceded in death by his first wife, Julie; his wife, Donna; brother, Robert Ray Peace; sister-in-law, Beth Peace. Those left to cherish Gordon's memory include his children, Stephen Weaver (Bonnie Gee), Shawn Weaver, Stephanie Mangiacotti; step-son, Chad Thompson (Chastity); sister, Kimberly Scarboro (Gary); brothers, Larry Weaver (Lisa), Doug Peace (Melissa), Jeff Peace (Tammy); ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, eight nieces and eight nephews; special friends for life, Dan Payne, Mikey Mullins, Gail Dingus. The family will receive friends at Trinity Memorial Centers from 10 AM to 12 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM with Dr. William Shelton officiating. An interment service will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Veterans Way, Mountain Home, Tennessee at 2 PM. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
