James Gregory “Greg” Million, age 57, of East Carters Valley Road passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center from complications due to surgery. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a graduate of Ketron High School and was of the baptist faith. Greg loved to hunt and fish and he loved his family and friends dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kemper James Million (Feb. 12, 2008); and grandparents, Joe and Clarice Million and Arland and Bonnie Williams.
He is survived by his mother, Wilma Million (Kingsport, TN); sisters, Tammy Fowler (Kingsport, TN), and Jonnie McCrary and husband, Scott (Blountville, TN); niece, Lori Jones and husband, Taylor (Chesapeake, VA); nephews, Sam Fowler (Memphis, T) and Andrew McCrary (Blountville, TN); several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends, Jerry and Connie Perry, Wayne, Terry, Andy, Rick, Gary, Wilbur and many others.
The family will receive friends at Freedom Baptist Church (1536 Independence Avenue, Mt. Carmel, TN) on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh and Pastor Troy Daily officiating. Special music will be by True Faith Quartet. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Meade, Gary Arnold, Perry Robinette, Andy Williams, Rick Bishop and Scott McCrary. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Collins, Wayne Hawkins, Wilbur Ketron and Danny Casteel.
