James William Fleenor, 72, of Blountville, TN, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
James was born in Blountville in 1952. He worked as a pipe fitter at Eastman and was a true jack of all trades, though he claimed mastery in none. He was a builder by nature, loved to construct things, and had a passion for collecting treasures. James cherished life and family, being a wonderful husband, father, and pap. Known for his exceptional cooking, he was also a playful and humorous individual who enjoyed joking around. His outgoing personality shone through his love for gardening and his affection for his cats, Opie, Stretch, and Rosie.
James is predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Mabel Fleenor; his daughters, Tammy and Angie Fleenor; and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cindy; his children, Teresa Hanson, Jamie Harris, Katrina Lindamood and husband Chad, Bill Lane and wife Keri, and Betsey Ritz and husband Tony; his grandchildren, Ashley and Gillian Hanson, Tyler Hoard, Cortney Graham, Angela and Jason Harris, Cadin and Cody Riffle, Makayla Daughtery, Gabriella, Rachel, and Violet Ritz; several great-grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 4th, at his home from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the AML Leukemia Foundation in his memory.
