James Edward "Eddie" Rutledge, 58, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
Born in 1966 in Melbourne, Florida, Eddie was known for his wild spirit and deep love for fishing, camping, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a caring soul and took great joy in doing mechanic work on friends' vehicles. Eddie was a loving father, brother, and best friend, and his outgoing nature meant he never met a stranger. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Rutledge, and his brother, Robert Lee Rutledge; and best friend, Beth Hamilton.
Eddie is survived by his partner of six years, Sylvia Robertson; his sons, Jesse Rutledge and wife Megan, and Brandon Mueller; his grandchildren, Kayann, Kadie, and Easton; his mother, Brenda J. Davis and husband Don; his brother, Randy Rutledge and husband Glenn; his sister, Tammy Menth and husband Barry; his aunts, Betty and Sheila; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and best friends, Shirley Byrd.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8th, at Trinity Memorial from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
