James, "Jimmy" Fitzgerald, 55, of Kingsport, Tennessee, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on January 4, 2023.
Addiction took him and left a heartbroken family and friends behind. He was more than an addict; he was a dad, a brother, and a friend. Addiction doesn't kill just the addict. It affects the family, kids, and people who tried to help.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Fitzgerald and father, Joseph Fitzgerald; brother in-law, Jimmy Kite.
He leaves behind a daughter, Barbie (Kyle) Moyers and grandkids Bella and Bryant; daughters, Tiffany, Ashley, and one grandson; son, Jimmy and one granddaughter, all of Ohio; sisters, Shelia Fitzgerald of Kingsport, "Ger" Kite of Kingsport, Debi (Tommy) Johnson of Blountville, TN; a host of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; ex-girlfriend, Ashley; ex-in-laws, Steve and Melissa Stacy; best friends John Novault and Billy.
Jimmy loved his family and friends more than anything and gathering time with them. Jimmy was a kindhearted person that never met a stranger, and he was willing to help everyone. He will be greatly missed.
