Jack Max Fleming

KINGSPORT - Jack Max Fleming 90, of Kingsport, TN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

He was born on June 23, 1934, in Jenkins, KY, to Butler and Lillie Fleming. He served for 22 years in the United States Air Force, 2 terms of which were in Vietnam and serving mostly overseas in Africa England, Spain and Germany. After retiring from the USAF, he made Kingsport, TN his family home. He was a member of the IBEW, where he worked throughout the USA. He was a Christian, a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Shriners.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved of 64 years, Audrey Rowark Fleming; three sisters, Helen Meade, Faustina Gilliam and Pauline Roman; and four brothers, Oren, Hoflin, Freddie, and Charles Fleming. Surviving are his brother-in-law, Kenneth Rowark; his three children, Mark Fleming, Stephanie (Mark) McNeese and Nancy (Andy) Hixson. Grandchildren include, Kyle (Amy) Qualls, David (Lindsay) Hixson and Hillary (Jeff) Higginbotham; and 6 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 161 East Ravine Road, Kingsport, TN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jack's name to the St. Paul's Episcopal Food Pantry.
