Hubert Rhea Tomlinson

Hubert Rhea Tomlinson, 82, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 with his family by his side. Ray was born around Weber City area in 1937. He graduated class of 1955 from Shoemaker High School. He joined the Navy after graduating and served his country for 4 years. He had two children from a previous marriage, Terry and Donna. Later on in life he met Joyce whom he felt he was destined to be with. They adopted a wonderful son, Timothy. Ray and his family spent 28 years together. He loved them very much they were his life. He will be greatly missed as a man with a kind heart, hard worker and good provider. He is preceded in death by his parents, Holey and Ina Tomlinson. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 28 years, Joyce; sons, Terry Tomlinson, Timothy Tomlinson; daughter, Donna Hodgson; five grandchildren; brother, Lee J. Tomlinson and wife Betty. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday October 11th at 9:00 AM to at Trinity Memorial. Military graveside service will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Hammonds Post 3 / Gate City 265.
