Henry William Herceg

Henry W. Herceg Jr, "Papaw", 77, of Kingsport, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 18, 2023, surrounded in comfort by his two daughters.

Henry was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on July 20, 1946. Henry was a Navy Veteran and a career long haul truck driver who called East Tennessee home. His world revolved around helping others, and his favorite people in this world were his grandchildren. He was thoughtful, caring, funny, and a little sassy too. He was loved by so many and will be terribly missed.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Elva Miller Herceg and Henry W. Herceg, Sr.

Henry is survived by his two daughters, Beverly Herceg and Felicia (Darren) Freeman, both of Kingsport, TN, as well as his sister Henrietta, of Pennsylvania. Henry absolutely loved being a "papaw" and adored his nine grandchildren: Mykenze, Alex, Makaila, Cameron, Ella, Katie, Dusten, Aaliyah, and Jaxen. He was also recently blessed with two great-grandchildren, Atticus and Amelia, as well as many close friends over the years.

As Henry's final wishes were to be cremated, no additional services are planned at this time.
