Helen Elizabeth Visneski
Helen Visneski, 92, passed away on February 23, 2023. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on June 6, 1930. She was a first-generation American; the daughter of Polish immigrants, Vincent and Anastasia Malyszko Lebecki.
Helen was a remarkable woman in her own quiet way. She had a long career while raising four children. She was an avid gardener and a great cook especially loving to make Polish treats such as poppyseed rolls, pierogi, and Golabki (cabbage rolls). She loved good Polka and this happy music could often be heard playing on her radio.
Helen was a member of the Yorkville VFW (Veteran's of Foreign Wars) Ladies Auxillary. She also belonged to Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Tiltonsville, Ohio.
While living in Kingsport at Brookdale Rock Springs she was known as the Queen of Trivia and was frequently seen doing a "walk about" outside the building to stay in shape.
Helen was patient and kind and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, daughter Linda Trouts, grandson Eric Trouts, brother Stanley Lebecki, and sisters Gladys Trzaskoma and Janie Anderson.
She is survived by sons Raymond, Edmund (Maureen) and Michael (Kathryn) and grandchildren Sarah and Benjamin Visneski, and great-grandchildren Christopher and Jennifer Trouts.
Special thanks to the staff of Brookdale Rock Springs and Brookdale Colonial Heights as well as the staff of Amedysis Hospice especially Michelle, her nurse who took such sweet kind care of her.
Services and burial will be at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio, on March 11th at 11am.
