Harry Bascom Sluss

Harry Bascom Sluss, 98, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Sarah Sluss; sisters, Bessie Joyner, Ethel Bishop, Marie Chapman, Carrie Stone, Grace Reed, Blanche Hammond, Joetta Cross; brother, Lewis Sluss, Hascal Sluss, Wesley Jr Sluss, Virgil Sluss; son-in-law, Chuck Long; He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Sluss; daughters, Connie Long, Debbie and Danny Lawson; grandsons, Josh and wife Christina Lawson, Erik Lawson; granddaughters, Miranda Johnson, Ashley Long, Tyra Lawson; great granddaughter, Emma Lawson, Gabriella Mackey, Kelsey Wallen, Mila Lipford; several nephews and nieces; sister, Gladys and husband James Dillard. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday July 29th at Trinity Memorial from 1pm to 3pm. Service will follow with Rev Lester Morelock officiating. Military graveside service will be held on Monday July 30th at Mountain Home VA National Cemetery at 2:30pm with American Legion Hammond Post 3/265 providing honors.
