Nickelsville, VA – Harold Dean, 86, of Big Moccasin passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 at home with his family.
Harold was born in Scott County, Virginia on June 19, 1932 and was the son of the late Steve Dean and Lizzie Kilgore Dean. He was also preceded in death by his grandson Daniel Finch and his best buddy Charlie.
Harold was a lifelong farmer, employed by Lowe’s for 32 years and a logger in his early days.
Harold is survived by his wife, Evelyn F. Dean; daughter, Debbie Lou and husband David Finch (Castlewood, VA); sons, Roy Steven and wife Kimberly Burnette Dean (Roanoke, VA), Timothy Harold and wife Chris Carter Dean (Jonesborough, TN); Grandchildren, Joshua and wife Ashley Finch (Castlewood, VA), Patrick Dean (Nashville, TN), Tanner Dean (Gate City, VA) and Evan Dean (Washington, DC); Great grandchildren, Tyler Finch, Haleigh Grace Finch, and Ethan Cordle; Special friends, Thomas Page, Darrell and Cathy Daniels, and Sharon and Junior Meade.
There will be no visitation, interment will be private.
