Grover Clinton Jones

Grover Clinton Jones, 51, of Duffield, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024. Born on October 17, 1973, to Albert Earnest Jones and Virginia Sue Jones, Grover was a devoted son, brother, father, and friend. Known for his passion for camping, caving, and fishing, Grover embraced the outdoors with a spirit of adventure.

Grover graduated from Volunteer High School in 1991 and pursued a career in HVAC technology, earning a technical certificate from the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1992, alongside his brother Daniel. For three decades, he worked as an HVAC technician, bringing skill and dedication to his craft until he was disabled.

Grover was preceded in death by his son, Austin Clinton Jones; his mother, Virginia Sue Jones; and his grandparents, Bob and Mary Sue Long and Paul and Bertha Jones.

He is survived by his father, Albert Earnest Jones; his son, Brandon Jones; his brother, Daniel Jones and wife, Kyndra; his sister, Shanna Shaffer and husband, Tim; his longtime fiancée, Wilma Robinette; his niece, Hunter-Sue Bowen; his nephew, Michael D. Jones; and special friends Chad Salyer, Freddie Hurd, and Jamie Meade.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee. Grover's family and friends are invited to come together to remember his warmth, humor, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
