Gregory Von Burda

Gregory Von Burda, 51, entered the Kingdom of Heaven to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday (August 12) after a brief illness with his family by his side. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, weight lifting, riding his boat, and his family and friends. He was very active in his church. He is preceded in death by his father, Valton Leroy Burda; step-father, Donald Lee Shipman; maternal grandmother, Grace Elizabeth Hutson; and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Hazel Burda. He is survived by his loving mother, Eva Louise Shipman, of Chuckey, TN; sisters, Bonnie and husband Larry Barton of Elkhart, IN, Nola Christine and husband David Sonne of Orland Park, IL; brothers, Joe and wife Loretta Taylor of Orland Park, IL; Robbie Lee Burda and fiance Donna Cannon of Crete, IL.; a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday (August 14) at Community Baptist Church (1754 King Mill Pike Bristol, VA) at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Trinity Memorial Centers at P.O.
