Glenna Madeline Stanley, age 72, of Kingsport, TN., went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born in Eidson, Tn, but had been in Kingsport most of her life. Glenna was a very spiritual person. She loved to fish, cook, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a joyful person and she loved life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew David Winstead and Georgia Lee Herron Winstead; grandson, Joseph Hammonds; sisters, Judy Winstead, Louina Peters, Martha Winstead; brother, Lloyd Winstead.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Stanley; daughters, Donna Lawson and husband Bill (Nashville, Tn.), Lisa Hammonds and fiance Matt Thornburg (Johnson City, Tn.), Rhonda Jones and husband Rick (Kingsport, TN.), Rebecca Ball (Marion, VA.); grandchildren, Donia, Shane, Ashley, Drew, Brittany, Dusty; step grandchildren, Jessie, James, and Earl; nineteen step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Mary Smith and husband Ivan (Kingsport, TN.); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will have a Celebration of Life for Glenna at a later date.
