Glenn Stewart Gray

Glenn Stewart Gray, 72, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Glenn was born on January 14th, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, to Stewart and Grace Gray. He is an older brother to Ken Gray. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was baptized on October 31, 1971. On December 23, 1972, he married the love of his Life, Christine (Chris) Reading Gray, in Detroit, Michigan. They have spent 49 wonderful years of laughter together. He graduated from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, in 1980 as a Registered Nurse (RN), a member of the national honor society of nursing (Sigma Theta Tau), and in 1982 as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). His passions included his love for Christ, his spouse, and his family. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Vernor's, The Andy Griffith Show, Detroit Red Wings hockey, Olga the walrus, and traveling. He retired from anesthesia in 2013 after working for over 31 years. Left to cherish his memories are his spouse, Chris Gray; children, Tim (Jennifer) Gray, Dan (Amanda) Gray, and Meghan (Mark) Elenich; grandchildren, Ian, Gracelyn, Levi, Joshua, Leila, and Jeremiah; brother, Ken (Lois) Gray; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at the Kingsport Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, July 16, at 5:00 pm. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, especially Adrienne and Connie.
