Gerald "Jerry" Rudolph Litzinger

Gerald "Jerry" Rudolph Litzinger, 56, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2020. Jerry was born in Philipsburg, PA in 1963. He grew up in Osceola Mills where he worked as an arborist. Later on in life he moved to Roanoke, VA where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. It was around this time he met the love of his life. Missy and Jerry got married and started a family. They raised two wonderful children and his grandchildren were his whole world. After a few years they moved to Kingsport, TN. Jerry loved watching Nascar and attending the Kingsport Speedway. He also liked to go four wheeling and made many friends along the way. Jerry was a very caring and kind soul who would help anyone who asked. He was always there for his family and friends. He was surely loved and will be greatly missed by many. He is preceded by father, Robert William Litzinger, Sr. ; gram, Genevieve Howe; pap, Jess Howe; grandmother, Mary Litzinger; grandfather, Art Litzinger; sister, Beverly; mother-in-law, Beth Dingus; brother-in-law, Mitch Dingus. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 27 years, Missy; son, Doyle "DJ" Litzinger and fiance Taylor; daughter, Melissa "Bethy" Litzinger and Rob; grandchildren, Ellie, Elsa, Esme, Owen; mother, Delores Litzinger and step-father Evan John; brothers, Darrell Howe and Deb, Robert Litzinger Jr and wife Deb, Richard "Butch" Litzinger; sisters, Tena Krause and husband Bob, Roxanne Carter and Steve, Karen Litzinger and Greg, Crystal Confer and husband Sam, Delores "Lori" Stephenson and husband Ken; father-in-law, Doyle Dingus; brother-in-law, Jeff Dingus and wife Martha; several nieces and nephews; and his racing and four wheeling buddies. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday February 18th from 5pm to 8pm at Trinity Memorial's Chapel. Service will follow at 8pm with Pastor Eric Fields of Grace Bible Church in Bristol. Graveside service will be held at Rebecca Willis Cemetery on Wednesday February 19th at 2pm in Haysi, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Jerry's honor to a charity of your choice or St. Judes.
