George Paul Hutchins

George Paul Hutchins, age 68, left this walk of life on November 04, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer with his family by his side. He was a painter until retiring. Paul was born to the late George Hutchins and Grace Overbay Hutchins on December 23, 1946 in Sullivan County, TN. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by five sisters, Louise, Nell, Connie, Virgie and Toots; four brothers, Tom, Babe, Raymond and Bob. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary McDavid Hutchins; sons, Michael Hutchins and Scotty McDavid; daughters, Misty Hutchins and Tammy Henry; four grandsons, Logan Youngblood, Jordon McDavid, Shawn Hite and Austin Henry; two grand daughters, Gracie Youngblood and Brittany McDavid; two sisters, Ruth Jones and Margaret Hutchins; four brothers, Donnie, Joe, Wayne and Haskel; three great grandchildren, Xavier, Jada and Kenzie; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Gale Harkelroad; and a host of other friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heather Hayes and the staff of Amedisys Hospice Care. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, November 08, 2015 from 5 PM to 7 PM. The celebration of Mr. Hutchins' life will begin at 7 PM with Reverend Jerry Scalf and Reverend Virgil Anders officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, November 09, 2015 at New McDavid Family Cemetery in Rye Cove, VA at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
