Geneva Irene Payne

Geneva Irene Payne, affectionately known as "Gigi" by her grandchildren, passed away at the age of 54, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024.

She was born in Bristol, Virginia, to the late Douglas and Freda Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ruth Musselwhite; her long-time friend, Anita Viers; and her Grandmother and Grandfather Layell.

After a decline in her health, Geneva spent the majority of her time making precious memories with her grandchildren. Some of her favorite past times were thrift shopping and making crafts.

She is survived by her older sister, Violet Elliott; two aunts, Geneva "Jenny" Garrett and Jo Ann White; and her three grandchildren.

Geneva passed in the care of Life Care of Elizabethton, and the family would like to give them a special "thank you" for all the care put into making her last moments comfortable.
