Gene Gray

Gene Louis Gray, 91, of Fall Branch, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. Gene was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, and he met the love of his life, Eileen. They met on the city bus Gene drove, and she would travel wherever the bus was going for the day to spend time with Gene. They later relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL., where they raised their four children. Gene was a wonderful family man, and they always came first. He believed in hard work, honesty, love, and laughter. His smile always lit up the room, and his laughter and goofiness were infectious. Gene loved fishing, camping, and just spending time with his family. He always enjoyed watching a good western in his free time, even if he had seen the same episode of Gun Smoke a million times. Gene had such a great spirit and love for life. The values and morals he has instilled in his family will always be remembered. Gene was preceded by his loving wife of 65 years, Eileen Gray; parents, Joseph and Etta Gray; sons, Kent and Brian Gray; grandson, Daniel Shoop; brother, Jack Gray; daughter-in-law, Patti Gray. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Kirk Gray and Diana (Dale) Shoop; grandchildren, Tanya Moro, Donna (James) Evangelista, Gene Gray II, and Brian Gray; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
