Gary Wayne Bolling

Gary Wayne Bolling Sr., 77, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

Born to Howard and Eulene Bolling in Pound, Virginia, Gary graduated from Pound High School in 1964. He went on to achieve a certification in auto body repair and worked in his chosen profession until he retired just a few months ago. Gary was married to his beloved wife, Jean, for fifty-nine years and the couple had five children, Tammy, Cindy, Gary, Samantha, and Kristy. Gary enjoyed the outdoors and always had some kind of motorcycle or atv to provide fun for his family. When his kids were growing up, Gary would often take them swimming and fishing. They rarely caught anything because they were making too much noise.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by three children, Samantha Bolling, Gary W. Bolling, Jr. "Bubba", and Kristy Nelms.

Those left to cherish Gary's memory are his loving wife, Jean Bolling; daughters, Tammy Oaks and longtime companion Charlie Jones, Cindy (Jack) Herron; grandchildren, Brittany Oaks, Cade Herron, Cayce Herron, Daniel Bolling, Trevor Nelms; great-grandchildren, Wesley Oaks, Hayden Wyatt, Braylon Wyatt; brothers, Bill (Carol) Bolling, Ron (Suzie) Bolling.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Shades of Grace UMC, 331 Sullivan Street, Kingsport, TN.
