Gary Russell Sykes

Gary Russell Sykes, age 53, of Kingsport, Tennessee, died peacefully in his sleep and went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Sunday, April the 7th.

He was the most kind, generous and helpful man anyone could ever have known, he was loved by all who knew him, and he dearly loved all his family. He proudly served his country in Desert Storm. Gary was a brave and courageous soldier. He loved spending time outdoors with his family, visiting the beach, fishing and camping. He will be loved and missed by all his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife, Anna Sykes; his three children, Anthony, Derek and Asia; his mother, Mary (Polly) Montgomery, of Kingsport, Tennessee; his father Gary W. Sykes and wife Faye of Clintwood, Virginia; his sister, Lisa Baker; his special niece, Cori Baker of Kingsport, Tennessee; his brother, Steven Craig of Kingsport, Tennessee; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Memorial Centers on Monday, April 22nd at 6:00pm
