Gary Floyd Lapp

Gary Floyd Lapp, 69, of Johnson City, TN, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Born in Bellingham, Washington, in 1955, Gary lived in various locations across the United States before settling in East Tennessee nine years ago. A dedicated Navy veteran, he spent most of his career as a chef, working in several high-end restaurants and later managing some of them. During his time in New Jersey, he worked at a glass factory where he met Brenda. They spent 33 wonderful years together and married in 2009. While in New Jersey, Gary pursued a new career, attending truck driving school and becoming a truck driver.

Gary had a passion for classic cars, enjoyed watching football, loved his grandchildren, his dog, and loved the mountains, camping, and hiking with his wife. Above all, he cherished his family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Floyd Lapp and Louise Marie (Pizzuto). Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Lee Lapp; his step-children, Robert Lee Tozer and Christina Ann Tozer; his brother, Ken Lapp; and his sister, Gail Lapp.
