Gary Alan Huskins

Gary Alan Huskins was born on June 7th, 1953 and raised in Erwin Tennessee. He passed away at the age of 66 on December 24th, 2019 in Signature Health Care of Elizabethton, where he had been a resident for the last 5 months. He had lived in Elizabethton for the last 6 years with his daughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Huskins; mother, Judy Huskins; brothers, Michael Huskins and Terry Huskins; sister, Martha Huskins Pate; along with many cousins. Survivors are his children, Elizabeth Huskins and Matthew Robert Huskins; his nephew, Johnathan Huskins and wife Amy (daughter Keri); nephew, Tyler Pate; special cousins, Orlanda Ledford and wife Kay (sons Scotty and Tracie Ledford), Lauran and Drew, Jeff and Jen Ledford, Addie and Noah. He was of the Christian faith and attended church most of his life in Erwin. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his children, he loved football and baseball, and making others laugh. He worked at Hover Ball Bearing for nearly 30 years, and worked at Impact Plastics along with Construction jobs. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Johnson City Medical Center, Quillen, Erwin Family Medical Clinic in Erwin, and especially the staff at Signature Health Care of Elizabethton. They went above and beyond in the treatments of Gary. In lieu of flowers if you would like to make a donation to Saint Jude's Hospital. There will be a celebration of life dinner for the family. Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home (423-723-8177) will be serving the family.
