Freddie Arlene Charlton Gordon

Freddie Arlene Charlton Gordon, 81, a lifelong resident of Kingsport Tennessee went to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully at home, Saturday, October 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Freddie worked as a manager at Perkins in Colonial Heights and Bonanza and Mayflower restaurants in Kingsport, TN where she charmed the hearts of her colleagues and patrons alike, making many lifelong friends. A faithful member of Sullivan Baptist Church, she was known for her quick wit, impeccable style, and unwavering spirit that made a lasting impression on all that knew her. Freddie was lovingly, "bougie", always on the go and dressed to impress with a sharp eye for accessories. Her love extended to her cherished pets her dogs, Libby, Kisses and Ina and her cat Happy.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Ott and Maxine Charlton, and her sister's Shirley Charlton Rowland, Georgia Pasch and Marie Folk. Freddie is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl Smith and devoted son-in-law Gregory Sr., whom she cherished deeply, her son, Mark Comer, her step children Kara, Damon and Cheryl Gordon, grandchildren, Chandra McCloud, Gregory Smith Jr. and Cameron and Krista Comer, her great grandchildren Emily Hilliard, Everett Dobbins, Mia Steele, Camdyn and Gregory "Bubby" III Smith, and Brooke Hopson.

She is also remembered by her sister Marilyn Davis, many nieces and nephews, a community of dear friends, neighbors, and her church family who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4, at Trinity Memorial from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a memorial service to follow, officiated by Pastor Jeff Strong.
