Fred Wayne Akers

Fred Wayne Akers, 51, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 27th, 2023.
Fred was born in Kingsport, TN. He attended Gate City High School. Growing up, his father taught him brick masonry, and after school, he started a career as one. He was a loving father, brother, and son. He will be greatly missed.
Fred is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy McArthur.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Reba Nell Akers, sons, Nathan Hyson, Conner Akers; brothers, Jim Akers, Robert Akers and wife Tracy, Mike Akers and wife Kristy; sister, Patricia Brown and husband Teddy; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 5th, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Centers.
