Evelyn Garcia Nauss

Evelyn Garcia Nauss, 69, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, March 9, 2018, surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born on May 4, 1948 in Cidra, Puerto Rico. Her family migrated to New York and subsequently moved to Philadelphia, PA. She resided in North Philly in her twenties where she attended Tri City Barber School and taught dance classes. She eventually found her way to Tennessee, where she met Larry. Evelyn and Larry ran a successful karaoke business and had a blast doing so. Evelyn was a born entertainer and she made friends wherever she went. She loved Halloween and amassed quite the collection of elaborate Halloween costumes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmelo and Abigail Garcia (Philadelphia, PA); and son, Joseph Carrion, Jr. (Philadelphia, PA). She is survived by her loving partner and companion of 25 years, Larry Walsh (Piney Flats, TN); daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Josh Davis (Millington, TN); son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Rachel Walsh (Bristol, TN); and grandchildren, Maddi and Mason (Kelli), Colton, Zach, Jackson and Riley (Jason). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the ALS Foundation (www.ALSTN.org) in Evelyn's memory.
