"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". 2nd Corinthians 5-8 Ellen "Yvonne" Vermillion, 66, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 18, 2019 at her home. Born June 7th, 1953 in Russell County Virginia, she was a long time resident of the Kingsport area. Ellen was a strong, loving, humble and hard working woman that had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up the darkest night. A loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, Ellen enjoyed cooking, working word puzzles, talking on the phone with her sisters and spending time with her family. Ellen was preceded in death by her infant son, Robbie Vermillion; grandson, Jonathon Vermillion; husband, Thomas Vermillion; mother, Pauline Weeks; father, Clyde Weeks; brothers, Clifford and Bill Weeks; and sister, Connie Guy. Those left to cherish her memory are son, Rocky Vermillion and wife Susan; daughter, Melissa Graybeal; grandchildren, Katilyn Vermillion, Jessica Marshall, James Graybeal, Tori Graybeal, and Mariah Marshall; sisters Diane Sargent and Debbie Biggs and husband Fred; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers will be Rocky Vermillion, James Graybeal, Scott Sargent, Brent Stewart, Anthony Bryant, and Aaron Wood. Visitation will be at Trinity Memorial Centers at 11am Sunday, July 21st, 2019. Funeral service will follow a 12pm. Family will hold a private graveside ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help with funeral expenses.
