Ellen Hale Bernard

Ellen Hale Bernard, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2015 with her family by her side. Ellen was born and raised in Beech Creek. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and country music. Her greatest love, though, was raising her children and great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Ada Hale; husband of 27 years, Lanis Bernard; brother, Rassie Hale; sister, Barbara Luster; son, Rex Bernard; and daughters, Kathy Light and Marie "Doodle" Bernard. She is survived by her daughters, Vickie and husband David Krug, Connie and husband Edward Lyons and Tammy Crigger; grandsons, Chris Light, Justin Bernard, Timmy Crigger, Travis Bernard and Jonathan Lyons; granddaughter, Brittany Bernard; great granddaughter, Haley Light; two great great granddaughters; brothers, Howard Hale and Ralph Hale; sisters, Ruby Bernard, Helen Bishop, Billy Jean Helton and Reba Arnold. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 6pm - 7pm at Trinity Memorial Centers Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7pm.
