Elizabeth Carol Steadman

On December 30, 2017, Elizabeth Carol Steadman, 71, spread her wings and flew. Carol was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. She graduated from Lynn View High School. She began her career at Tennessee Eastman then moved to United Intermont (now Embarq) where she spent the remainder of her career before retiring. Her greatest joys in life were her family and her books. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene L. Little and Alice Harrison Little Munro. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Baker and husband Sonny Hembree, of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren who were the light of her life, Alice Hembree, Belle Hembree, and Caroline Hembree, all of Kingsport,TN; sister, Debbie Cowan and husband Albert, of Greeneville, TN; brother, Chester Little and wife Barbara of Layton, Utah; nephews, Jeff Little, Michael Cowan; nieces, Becky Little, Allison Ham. Several great nieces and nephews and several extended step family. Carol did not want a service however she wanted friends and family to remember the good times and reflect on them with a smile.
